Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was able to live on her student stipend as she worked part-time. Lennox believed that her abilities weren't as good as those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 in the band Dragons Playground. But she quit before the band went to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. After that, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva that was released in 1992. The album was hugely successful both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. Her first album"Now I'm Letting You go... is the perfect accompaniment to her work of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is a Scottish musician and political activist. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some recognition in the 1970s. In the following years, Lennox was joined by the band with fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 when she released the album of Diva that featured several hit tracks like Why and the song Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa an album from her studio, released in 1995, has songs that are re-imagined from her most popular songs including The No MoreI Always Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). She has six solo studio albums and one compilation album to her credit.
