Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father was an educator at school while her mother was mother at home. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick has always loved singing, dancing and performing puppet shows. When McCormick was six years young, she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her and asked her whether she would like to enter show business. McCormick landed her first major task in 1964 as she acted in a television commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the leading character on The Wind It up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the oldest daughter in the trio of towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick disclosed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year run of the show.
